This connects to your main water line, usually where it enters the house. It needs space, correct plumbing and, in most cases, a professional. Budget for installation separately — it is a meaningful part of total cost and frequently overlooked when comparing prices.
The Canadian cost reality
Aquasana lists the Rhino at $1,998 and the Max Flow at $2,798 (checked August 2026). Ordered from Aquasana’s US site, a unit of this size and weight attracts provincial duties, taxes and carrier brokerage fees on delivery. Those charges are the buyer’s responsibility and they are not small on a $2,000 shipment.
That single fact should shape the decision more than the specification sheet does.
Who it suits
Homeowners staying put, with chlorine complaints affecting the whole house rather than just drinking water, and the budget for professional installation. If your only issue is the taste of a glass of water, an under-sink filter does that for a fraction of the price.
