LG Refrigerator Water Filters

LG has used three main cartridge generations, and the naming is at least logical — but they still are not interchangeable, and the model ranges overlap in confusing ways.

Identifying yours

LG prints the part number on the cartridge. If yours is already out and unlabelled, the fridge model number — usually on a sticker inside the fresh food compartment — will identify the right filter on LG’s support site.

A note on capacity

LG rates these cartridges in gallons as well as months, and the ratings differ between generations. If your household gets through a lot of filtered water, the volume rating is the number that will run out first, not the six-month figure.
