Kenmore is the trickiest brand on this site, for a reason worth knowing: Sears Canada closed in January 2018. The original retail channel is gone, which is why so much Kenmore filter information online leads nowhere.

Kenmore was never a manufacturer
This is the key to sourcing filters. Kenmore was a Sears house brand, and the appliances were built by Whirlpool, LG, Frigidaire and others depending on model and year. Your Kenmore fridge is very likely a rebadged unit from one of those makers.
Practically, that means a filter from the original manufacturer may fit. The number on your existing cartridge, or a cross-reference lookup, will tell you which. It is often easier to find a Whirlpool or LG equivalent in stock than a Kenmore-branded one.

If you cannot find your part number
Take the old cartridge out and photograph the printed number. Failing that, the fridge model number inside the compartment will let a cross-reference tool identify both the Kenmore part and its manufacturer equivalent. Compatible filters list the Kenmore numbers they replace in their descriptions, which is often the quickest route.
