In addition to these immediate health benefits, drinking filtered water over time can also have long-term benefits. For example, it has been suggested that drinking water that is free from contaminants like lead and pesticides can help protect against certain types of cancer and other chronic health conditions.

  1. Financial Benefits

Using a water filter can also save you money in the long run. While the initial cost of purchasing and installing a water filter may be higher than simply drinking tap water, over time, it can help you save money on bottled water and other water filtration systems. Additionally, using a water filter can help extend the life of your plumbing fixtures and appliances, saving you money on repairs and replacements in the long run.

  1. Types of Water Filters

There are many different types of water filters available, each designed to meet different needs and preferences. Some of the most common types of water filters include:

  • Carbon filters: These filters use activated carbon to remove contaminants like chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and sediment from water.
  • Reverse osmosis filters: These filters use a semi-permeable membrane to remove minerals, heavy metals, and other contaminants from water.
  • UV filters: These filters use ultraviolet light to kill bacteria and other pathogens in water.

When choosing a water filter for your home, it is important to consider factors like the type of contaminants in your water, the flow rate of your water, and your budget.

Conclusion

In conclusion, installing a water filter in your home is a smart investment that can provide a range of benefits. From improved health to environmental and financial benefits, using a water filter is a simple and effective way to protect your health and the planet, while saving money in the long run. Importance of Drinking Filtered Water

Importance of Drinking Filtered Water

Most of us rarely know the importance of drinking filtered water. Drinking filtered water is as important as drinking clean water. What is clean water? How do we know the water we drink is clean?

Since we do not know the source of our tap water, we do not realize the importance of filtering the water.  We think the water is completely cleaned before it comes to the tap. Even though it is safe to drink but tap water can still be contaminated by the time it reaches the tap at our homes by many factors. According to Health Canada, some of the main factors that contaminate the water before it reaches our tap water are microbiological pathogens, chemicals or products and materials that come into contact with water.  As a result, we cannot or should not rely on water treatment facilities to protect us from these harmful pathogens or chemicals reaching our water.  But, we need to protect ourselves by reaching out for other resources that are available, such as drinking water filters, which can be used at each house.

Installing filters can start at the kitchen or for the whole house.  If the filter is installed at the kitchen, water can be used for drinking, cooking and making juices for children or preparing formula for baby.  This way, we can make sure water is once again filtered for harmful substances and cleaned just before it goes into our body.  Since, contaminated water mainly affects infants or children, elderly and people with weak immune system, it is best to have a water filters at home.

As a user of Aquasana drinking water filters, I strongly recommend to you that Aquasana Water Filter products serve this purpose.  Try it yourself and drink clean water!

Importance of Clean Water

Water is vital for life.  We cannot live without water.  However, we cannot use untreated water directly from water source because contaminated water contributes to diseases in humans.  According to World Heath Organization(WHO), people worldwide are affected by water-related diseases or illnesses due to contaminated water.  Water can be contaminated by many factors such as presence of microbiological pathogens or chemicals in water and products and materials that come into contact with water.  In many developing countries, many people suffer from diseases that are caused by contaminated water.  Even though in developed countries people have access to treated water, sometimes there is outbreak of waterborne diseases.  In order to prevent illnesses by water contamination, it is best to have water filter system at homes to filter the tap water again just before we use it.  Even though water treatment systems are effective in developed countries, pathogens can evolve and may not be destroyed by the water treatment or chemicals can be dissolved in water on its route to the tap.  Using clean water is the key to prevention of many health issues.  Therefore, you can take an extra step to prevent any microbiological pathogens or chemicals that may come through the tap by having a water filter systems at home.
